Matthew Johnson is the author of multiple poetry collections, including Jackie Robinson’s Real Gone: Baseball Poems of New York (Cornerstone Press). His poetry has appeared in Apple Valley Review, Heavy Feather Review, London Magazine, and elsewhere. A recipient of multiple Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net nominations, support from the Emily Dickinson Museum and Hudson Valley Writers Center, as well as a finalist for the Diverse Voices Book Award (Grand View University) and E.E. James Jabar is a Greensboro, NC native and adjunct English professor at GTCC and Greensboro College. His poetry has been published in the Freshwater Review, Southern Cultures, Girl Blood Info, The Minnesota Review, Copper Nickel, and his chapbook “Whatever Happened To Black Boys?” published by Texas Review Press. He is also former alumni of UNCG, receiving both a Bachelors in English and MFA in Poetry, as well as former poetry editor for The Greensboro Review.
